Voices in History: Power in Multiple Perspectives is a transformative social studies conference for educators in Texas, dedicated to exploring the themes of representation, hidden histories, and the diverse people who have shaped our nation. Inspired by the mission of the Smithsonian Latino History Museum, this conference seeks to answer the question, “How did we become U.S.?” Through a series of thought-provoking sessions, expert-led workshops, and collaborative discussions, educators at all levels will gain valuable insights into the many voices, stories, and lives that contribute to our collective history. Join us to deepen your understanding of these critical concepts and to enhance your teaching practices, ensuring that every student’s story is heard and valued.
